students are stressed stressed stressed out I really want for student to be in this environment where it is low stress We do get students that come from really big schools around LA that cannot believe that this is the environment here. It's like a home here the small family like atmosphere here and LACPA we will not have any more than 20 students per classroom right now those numbers are even lower we're at at 1 to 15 so that very very small classroom allows for deep working relationship with the teachers with the students and with the families My number one thing is to really make a connection with all my students and have really deep relationships with them The students know they can go to any one here any staff member anyone in the office Any teacher and ask for help Whatever It Is Well I know it's kind of hard adults themselves to create a bond with the students and right now especially during COVID it's a little bit more harder for them to open up and ask and just be motivated so I want to provide that motivation for the students The vision is to get students first and foremost into college but we're not stopping there there has to be a definitive why they're going to college and so the specificity here is our specialty is legal studies and Entrepreneurship a lot of our internship pipelines. You all of them right now the first five internship pipelines we developed are all with small independent businesses here in the Los Angeles area my name is Weleh Dennis and I'm co-founder of the company Kids of Immigrants The importance of mentoring is finding out that the things you're getting mentored in is your passion real life experience there's nothing that beats being you know in the game so to speak you learn fast and it's good to lose the ego so you can just focus on the goal For me personally I think that we are all United and we know each and every one of our classmates and our teachers The people are so so sweet and make me feel so comfortable and that feels so good. enroll now enroll now enroll now enroll now enroll now
