Rebecca Rodriguez

Executive Director

 

Ms.Rodriguez is our Executive Director and this is her third year at LACPA. Her focus is on developing and sustaining a school culture that prioritizes the well-being of students and staff as the foundation for academic excellence. She has served as a founding Social Studies teacher in McArthur Park/Pico-Union and a founding Principal in South LA. She is determined to bring about the changes needed within our school systems to support the well-being of black and brown students. Her approach centers the need to acknowledge and heal the generational trauma often caused by colonization.

Lourdes Villasenor

Principal

 

Ms. Villasenor joined our last school year as our Principal. This is her second year with LACPA! She began her educational career as a Special Education Teacher and has previously served as a Dean of Culture and Assistant Principal for schools in South Los Angeles. She is passionate about cultivating differentiated learning experiences for students that support their individual needs. She believes that every student deserves a space where they can feel seen, heard, and encouraged to be unapologetically themselves. She knows that by being kind and intentional with one another, we can build a community with meaningful relationships with our students.

Ana Maria Vallejo

Director of Academic Counseling


Ms. Vallejo is our Director of Academic Counseling and is in her third year here at LACPA. She has spent most of her career in education in northern CA working in different middle schools, high schools, and community colleges. Ms. Vallejo is a proud first-generation college graduate who is passionate about bringing college, career, and self-awareness to students. She wants our students to be able to delve into different areas that will allow them to build new creative habits, explore new interests, learn how to advocate for themselves, and continue to grow in their potential. Ms. Vallejo’s goal continues to be to make college and higher education accessible and an option for our students by providing guidance on the process for our students and families.

Janet Tejeda

Office Manager


We are so excited to welcome Ms.Tejeda back for her 8th year at LACPA! This year she will serve as our Office Manager. Ms. Tejeda has always been grateful and excited to be a part of the continued growth that our school holds with an amazing team! Her work comes with dedication,  passion, and commitment to all students, families, alumni, and our community. As she builds her network with community members and families, she makes herself resourceful for our LACPA Family.
